Cork has many great hotels, the area is full of nice places to stay, everything from budget hotels to top class 5 star hotels. In Ireland, we are known for providing good hospitality and the hotels in Cork offer great services. It’s no secret that Cork has some great hotels in superb locations!

What are the best places to stay in Cork?, well the answer is “IT DEPENDS” There are loads of nice areas like Blarney that is where Blarney Castle is located, you could stay in Kinsale outside Cork City.

Kinsale is a beautiful harbour town with some great place to stay. I have included a hotel in Cobh with some fantastic views! Or maybe you could choose to stay in one of the towns or villages located on the Wild Atlantic Way route in Cork, it’s a spectacular route to travel with some unbelievable scenic locations, so Cork is definitely somewhere you want to visit and check out!

Hayfield Manor Hotel

This 5-star hotel is located just a few minutes from Cork City centre. You can travel to the Cork City centre in around 6 minutes from this 5 star. The hotel opened in 1996 and is highly rated. The Hayfield Manor has won awards for its high level of customer care and services provided. The building dates back to the 1800s and has a long history. It belonged to the Perrott family.

The old estate house is located very close to University College Cork (UCC). The building was rebuilt and restored to a 5 star standard in 1995. The grounds and area around the Hayfield Manor are full of mature trees and 150-year-old gardens with beautiful flowers and shrubs.

The are various room types available, everything from master suites of 1200 square feet to Manor rooms of 300 square feet, the rooms are decorated really well and to a very high standard. There is a Spa on the grounds to enjoy and the food menu is excellent, tis just a wonderful hotel to check out!

Isaac’s Hotel Cork

This cool hotel in the city centre used to be an Edwardian tobacco factory back in the day! It’s now a super retro boutique hotel. There are a number of rooms types to choose from, and there are some apartments available too enjoy.

The greens restaurant has won many awards for the delicious food and the menu has plenty of tasty dishes to check out! The restaurant won the best chef in Cork in 2015 from the Irish restaurant awards body. There is a nice bar in this hotel and plenty of Irish spirits to try, and loads of beers, shouts and wines.

The building has a certain charm with some old features blended with new modern design, its a really good 3-star hotel, one to consider if your planning trip to the rebel county.

Castlemartyr Resort, Cork

This 5 star is a fantastic hotel, it’s just a top class 5 star in a beautiful location. Catlemartyr is located around a 30-minute drive from Cork City. This 5-star resort is full of history, there’s an old castle on the grounds that dates back to the 12th century.

Catlemartyr resort was officially opened in 2007. The hotel has 103 rooms and a top-class luxury spa. It’s one of Ireland’s nicest hotels, set in a beautiful large area of great Irish land. The interior has many cool features like the Rococo ceiling in what used to be the ballroom back of the estate house in the day.

This 5 star is very popular for weddings, the hotel offers a red carpet service for weddings and specialized menus. There are six different types of rooms to choose from and self-catering apartments available. This 5 star is pet friendly, which isn’t very common in Irish hotels. There are loads of activities to do at Castlemartyr, golf, afternoon teas and archery just to mention a few, it’s definitely a hotel you will enjoy!

Fota Island Resort

Fota Island resort has so much to offer, a golf club and a beautiful golf course, Fota Island spa, lodges and the hotel itself have a bar and great food in the restaurant.

The location is second to none with a wildlife park close by to check out, its a great place to spend a few days with kids. Fota Island wildlife park is set on 100 acres and you can see animals from all over the world, Tigers, Giraffes and Rhinos.

Fota Island resort has loads to get you busy, great food, a fitness club, field games, orienteering and archery. The rooms are top class with the added benefits of self-catering accommodation which suits certain groups. It’s definitely one hotel to consider while planning a trip to Cork!

Actons Hotel Kinsale

This hotel is located in the scenic town of Kinsale. It’s located in the centre of Kinsale and just a few minutes walk from all amenities. There are five different rooms to choose from, standard rooms up to the deluxe room like the Charles Fort suite named after the local old fort dating back to 1670.

Acton’s Hotel is perfect for visiting the Wild Atlantic Way route around Cork and the rest of Ireland. There is a full fitness club with an indoor swimming pool, and the food menu has loads of nice dishes, from fish and chips to Thai green curry.

Kinsale has loads of activities and attractions to see, you can go sailing, take a historic tour, there’s foot folf to checkout. The Acton’s is one of the nicest places to stay in Cork!

Rochestown Park Hotel

This luxurious hotel has had a full revamp in 2008 that cost 18 million. There are 149 rooms and 8 townhouses to choose from. This 4 star is located around a 12-minute drive from Cork City.

There is a health and fitness club with an indoor swimming pool and a beauty salon on the grounds. Rochestown Park has won many awards and is located very close to Cork Airport just 2 kilometres away from the airport.

There is a really nice bar and bistro to check out serving loads of nice dishes, starters, a lunch menu and main courses. The rooms are decored beautifully and are spacious, its a perfect hotel for your trip to Cork!

The Water Edge Hotel Cobh

The Water Edge Hotel is in a great location overlooking the seaport. Cobh is a port town and cruise ships arrive regularly in the harbour, the town is full of visitors in the summer months, these visitors come off the cruise ships looking to check out Cobh for a few hours or a day or two.

This boutique retro hotel has some lovely rooms with views overlooking the harbour. Ther rooms are bright and comfortable with satellite tv, wifi and tea and coffee making facilities.

There is a waterside terrace where you can sit out with a drink and admire the stunning views. There are a full bar and restaurant. The A La Carte menu has plenty of seafood dishes, starters and mains to choose from. It’s just a wonderful place to stay while visiting Cork!
