Galway is a great city and county to visit and spend a few days seeing all the attractions, historic sites and beautiful scenic areas. Galway is located in the west of Ireland. Galway city has loads of Hotels to choose from and there are plenty of hotels outside in the city in what we call the county in Ireland or County Galway, the city is known as the city of the tribes because back in the old days Galway used to be ruled by families or tribes.

There are loads to keep you busy for a few days or a week or so, so you want to base you’re in the Galway while travelling around the Midwest of Ireland, visiting Limerick, Cork, Clare and Kerry depending on your plans.

The beautiful thing about Galway is that it’s not a huge city and that makes it easy to get around and relatively short distances between tourist sites and attractions.

When choosing a hotel, location can be n important one and certain facilities like a swimming pool or wheelchair accessible. You may need large family rooms to cater for your large family. I have put together a list of solid hotels with a whole range of services and options available!!!

The Haridman Hotel

This hotel is in a very good location, right in the centre of the city and within minutes of loads of nice retail shops, cool Irish pubs and some cool attractions. The Haridman Hotel overlooks the lovely Eyre Square. Eyre Square is an open-air public park that is a lovely park to visit.

The hotel is within minutes of the bus and train station just a few minute’s walk from the stations to the Haridman. The Hardiman offers a number of different types of rooms from the carriage room to the James Haridman room. There are Classic, Deluxe and Junior suites on offer.

The James Hardiman suite has a large living room area and a full three-piece suite to relax on! The suite has a king-size four-poster bed and an old-type fireplace. The suite benefits from a large Victorian-style window that pulls a huge amount of light into the suite.

The view is speculator from this suite. There is a 43-inch smart tv with a built-in Google Chrome cast to watch movies or catch up on social media or YouTube! The bathroom has a hot tub and shower.

The food is excellent in the Hardiman and dining in this hotel is very enjoyable. You can choose from the Gaslight Brasserie or the Oyster Bar. The menus are excellent with loads of top-quality dishes on offer, everything from full Irish Breakfast for the mornings to Braised Short rib for lunch. The dinner menu has plenty to try with pasta dishes, banger sand mash and Rib-eye Irish steak just to mention a few.

Overall it’s a top-class hotel with everything you would need for a nice stay in Galway City!

Eyre Square Hotel

This hotel is located just around the corner from Eyre square on 6 Forster St, Galway. Eyre Square hotel is a very popular hotel for visitors to Galway because of its nice décor and cosy feel, the hotel’s location is excellent just minutes for lots of amenities. Some of Galway’s most famous pubs and attractions are all within walking distance.

The hotels offer a few different room options, threes double, twin and triple rooms. Triple rooms are available and superior king-size rooms are on offer. The food is great with breakfast included, who doesn’t like a full Irish breakfast in the mornings!

There is plenty of nice dishes to try, and the bar and café offer loads of food options. There’s seafood chowder with brown bread and king prawn garlic and chilli linguini.

The hotel has special offers for staying for longer periods, this is something to check out if you plan on staying for a while in the City of the Trible’s. The merchant bar has a nice cocktail menu and plenty of cold beers on draught as well as some craft beers. The hotel caters form communions and office parties. It a great place to stay while visiting the city of the tribes.

Jurys Inn Hotel

Jury Inn Galway is located very close to the famous Spanish Arch. It’s located close to the lively Shop Street area where you will hear some live music from buskers and singers and Irish dancers.  The location is perfect and very central to the city centre area.

The hotel is the perfect base for a trip to the Midwest of Ireland. The hotel offers large spacious rooms that can accommodate up to three adults or two adults and two children.

There is free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. The rooms have a hairdryer, flat-screen TVs and complimentary toiletries in the bathrooms. Their rooms have a work area if you need to catch up on some work stuff or stuff on the internet! Jury’s Inn has wheelchair-accessible rooms and wheelchair-accessible bathrooms, the hotels cater to people in wheelchairs.

Jury Inn serves a really nice breakfast, I have had breakfast in the hotel in the past and it’s very good. The bar is comfortable and spacious with some nice helpful staff there to make your stay very enjoyable.

The Connacht Hotel offers a huge range of services and facilities. The hotel has a large number of rooms, and hotel rooms and suites are available., this hotel has self-catering accommodation options on offer.

The hotel is located just outside Galway city centre just 2.3 kilometres from Eyre Square.  The hotel was fully refurbished in recent times it’s a very high standard, and its elegant interior gives a modern and warm feel.

The Connacht Hotel has a leisure centre with a swimming pool and gym, which is handy for keeping fit while travelling. There is a free bus and car parking on the grounds. The food is superb with a nice breakfast, a tasty lunch and lots of nice dinner dishes to try. The bar is decorated really well, it’s very welcoming.

The hotel room options are single, double, triple and family rooms. If you need self-catering accommodation, there are apartments available that are the perfect self-catering option. This hotel offers a really cool Motor home option called “The Connacht Cruiser”. The large motorhome caters for six people, it is a luxury motorhome with all the stuff you need for a comfortable trip!

It is a great hotel with everything you need to make your stay one to remember.

The G Hotel And Spa

This super funky hotel is located just outside the city centre, only 1.6 kilometres from Galway City. The hotel opened in 2005, it has the benefits of a full spa offering a 5-star experience. This 5-star is very luxurious. Some of the décor in the hotels is the best you will see. The hotel boasts a penthouse suite that is just amazing and named after the Supermodel Linda Evangelista, the views from the penthouse are amazing.

The hotel has everything you need, a full spa, and an excellent restaurant with loads of fresh Irish produce. Friendly and helpful staff in all departments of the G Hotel are on hand to make your stay easy and memorable. The lake room suites have views of the Atlantic Ocean, the suites are top-class.

The hotel caters for parties and weddings and all types of events. The dining experience is second to none in this five-star, the menu boasts a confit of pork belly and pan-fried fillet and hake. The dessert menu has a lemon tart and hazelnut parfait.
