Shannon Airport is located in County Clare in the Midwest region of Ireland, it’s around a 25-minute drive to the closest city which is Limerick. Limerick is Ireland’s third-largest city with a population of 195,000 people. Shannon Airport has the benefits of a pre-preference service for passengers travelling to and from the United States of America., this is a very handy service and saves a lot of time and stress.

The airport is operating since the 1940s and is known as a hassle-free Airport, because of the pre-preference USA service this is a great option while travelling to and from the United States. Passenger numbers excessed 1.8 million in 2018, but this isn’t a huge amount compared to some other airports and this really has added benefits when choosing Shannon Airport as your Irish airport of choice.
